Education:
- Program Director, Diana Casey's credentials includes a Master's Degree in Counseling and Education. Ms. Casey is also a Ph.D. Candidate of Developmental Psychology. Additionally, she remains an active member of the American Counseling Association and the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. Ms. Casey is a Certified Victim Advocate through NACP, the National Advocate Credentialing Program, as well as the Department of Defense (SAPR), Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Career:
- Her career background includes being formerly employed as a Family Court Mediator with Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, certified through the Supreme Court of Virginia. In addition to facilitating conversation between disputing parties, Ms. Casey has also served as a law enforcement officer/officer of the Courts, through the years, to Prince William, Fairfax and Arlington Counties. In this capacity, Ms. Casey submitted and prepared numerous reports and investigations to the Courts to include Home Study/Investigation Reports.
- Ms. Casey's counseling background consists of community counseling in the areas of domestic violence, family counseling, substance abuse, and rehabilitation. She is versed in the nuances of Child Protective Services and Foster Care as well, having provided evidence-based, trauma informed services to numerous families through the years. In addition, to assessing suitability for custody on behalf of the Courts and teaching parenting skills, Ms. Casey also served as a therapeutic visitation supervisor for local child welfare agencies.
Lastly, Ms. Casey is the spouse of a career, retired military officer and understands the sacrifices made by military families as both a military spouse and former DoD employee.
